Chicago weather is hard on a house. Humid summers feed algae and mildew, freeze-thaw cycles open up every crack, and winter brings salt and road grime that settles on everything near the street. The green film on the north side of your siding and the dark streaks running down your roof are organic growth, and blasting them with a high-pressure wand usually does more damage than good.
Soft washing uses low pressure and cleaning solutions to break that growth down, then rinses it away. It’s how we clean vinyl, aluminum, and wood siding, stucco, brick, roofs, decks, fences, and pavers. You can book one surface or have us handle the whole exterior in a single visit.
Our Soft Washing Process
We bring our own professional-grade equipment, never rented hardware store gear, and we set pressure and cleaning solution for each surface before we start.
Our process includes:
- A walk-around of the home to check siding type, roof condition, landscaping, and problem areas like shaded north walls
- Pre-wetting plants and beds near the work area
- Applying our bleach-free cleaning solution at low pressure (under 500 PSI) and giving it time to work
- A gentle rinse from the top down so dirty water doesn’t run back over clean surfaces
- A final rinse of landscaping and a walk-through with you to confirm the result
